Roweled spurs are permitted in dressage, but the ends of the rowels must be blunt.
Can you wear blinkers in dressage?
Blinkers are not allowed. Nosebands must be used and the following are permitted: cavesson (compulsory for double bridles) combination bridles with no throat lash.
Can you carry a whip in British Dressage?

No whip of any kind may be carried whilst competing in the dressage test. One whip only, no longer than 120cm including lash, may be carried when riding on the flat at any other time.
What bits are not allowed in dressage?
Judges must eliminate horses or ponies that compete in illegal bits or nosebands. Illegal bits include, but are not limited to, three-ring gags, gags, etc., while illegal nosebands include, but are not limited to, drop, flash, and figure-eight nosebands.
Is dressage harder than jumping?
Most riders find it easier to switch from dressage to jumping than the other way around, since beginning dressage is taught in a manner that is more technically intensive, and most find it far more challenging. How should I wear my hair for dressage?
Dressage — For the dressage position, your hair should be concealed under your helmet with a hair net or worn in a neat bun tucked under the rear of the helmet. Cross Country — During cross country, your hair can be either tucked completely under the helmet or tied back with a single ponytail.
