Put simply, Dragon Quest VIII is one of the best classic-style JRPGs made even better on 3DS. It’s very charming and light-hearted, which suits Dragon Quest quite well. The localization is as excellent as it was on PlayStation, with delightful voice performances for both the main cast and secondary characters.

Nothing game breaking, so don’t worry lol. – when starting a battle, you no longer see the animation of your party pulling out their weapons. – when you take damage, it doesn’t show your max hp going down from the hit anymore (like losing life points in yugioh lol). It’s instant. This kinds erks me since I liked the sound of points falling.
